gsg5 , reflex shot? or red dot?

hey folks so I will be purchasing a gsg5 soon.

Just wondering which is more practical and I guess all around worth it.

a Reflex Shot or a Red Dot?
probably withing the price range of 50$.

I have a feeling a reflex shot might be a lot easier to use and more practical, but for longer ranges not sure.

anyone want to chime in? I dont plan on trying to shoot 100 yards with a gsg, probably can but looking for more of the 25-60 yards.

I bought a reflex sight about 2 weeks ago (sightmark). The thing looks great, cheap, until I took it to the range 2 days ago. I had to re-zero it after I turn the unit back on, or changing reticles. I don't know if I have a defective item or not, still waiting for a reply from sightmark tech support.

Ouch!!! I was about this >ll< close to buying a sightmark from RRAGES but I opted to spend the $ one of George's customized RIS and a stubby foregrip. I'm interested to see sightmarks response. They have a lifetime warranty I do believe. Good luck with that.

I can hardly wait! I think I have modded this rifle more quickly than any other firearm I have bought! 6 magazines, RIS, CA stock, pins, screws, now possibly optics. Havent even shot it yet. And had most of the parts before It even got out of 10 day jail. I never even put the factory stock on it!

Not to be rude, but this is like buying the cheapest walmart Taiwanese tool set and expecting a lifetime warranty. These things are cheap for a reason. They are disposable and a lot of them will break without any reason other than its cheap. If you want a reflex site that you can expect to work and have a good warranty, get a c-more. I can guarantee that if you get a sightmark, it WILL break on you eventually. Don't expect any real performance from a super cheap knockoff.

I'm not *Expecting* a lifetime warranty. They DO offer limited life time warranty, so I'm giving them a chance.

I just dont feel like spending hundreds of dollars on a sight for a plinker. Let alone a plinker thats got mostly airsoft parts! If sight mark is gonna warranty thier $30 super cheap knockoff sight I will buy one from them. Besides the whole rifle a knockoff!! Putting a $200-$300 site on a $500 rifle is like putting 24" rims on a toyota truck!

lol, yeah I agree with you. But at the same time, expecting any kind of real warranty on cheap knockoff toys is kind of lame don't you think? I have experience with these sites. It WILL break on you eventually. Buy it knowing this ahead of time.
