    Super Velocity Ammo

    Will,or how well does the Aquila 1750 FPS/ 30 gr. RN ammo work in a Ruger MK III w/ 6.8" S/S barrel ? Is it to hot for this pistol and mainly for single shot rifles ?

      I know that it's kind of a no no in a 10/22. It's hard on the receiver due to heavy bolt recoil.
      Sorry I know this is now help.

        Thank You . I looked on their MKIII page and could not find it . As this is a new MKIII ,I won't risk it .We will get some Winnie Super X from Ammo To Go.

        This MKIII is turning into another money pit . { like the Spikes .22 AR }

          Or bolt or lever action. Or high quality revolvers. I have a S&W 6-shot 617 K-frame and the area around the chambers is thicker than the chamber themselves. It will shoot any 22lr hyper-velocity they can possibly come up with. S&W has since turned this into a 10-shot, so that gives you an idea of how much steel was still available.

            I see no reason to use anything other than standard velocity in a pistol anything else is a waste of gunpowder. I haven't measured it but I doubt you get more than 150 fps with HV vs SV in a pistol if that. In my pistol the groups are 1/2 the size or better with SV
