22 Magnum and small deer

Is it OK to hunt small deer with 22 Magnum ?

Why would you want to hunt small dear? Why do you feel the need to use a smaller quieter round?

If that is all you have and you are starving. Not the most humane way but should get the job done if you have good shot placement.

Check the California Hunting Regs - centerfire only

They specify minimum of a centerfire for hunting mammals.
