    Tactical Ruger 10/22

New to Calguns, and I am interested in putting together a Tactical Ruger 10/22. However, I don't want to run afoul of the law. What restrictions are there in California for a rimfire rifle (flash hider, magazine bullet count, vertical pistol grip, collapsible stock, etc). Any information, and suggestions to set ups is appreciated. Thanks all!

You can do what ever you want. It has to be over some odd inches. Someone will tell soon. I'm not sure how long the rifle has to be.

26" overall length for rimfire, in it's shortest configuration. So if your rimfire rifle with the a folding stock is 34.5" unfolded, but 25" folded, it's a no-go. 16" barrel minimum. Magazine capacity still applies. 10 rounds unless your magazines are pre-ban (IE you have possessed them before Jan 1, 2000). Otherwise all evil features are a-ok.

The optics are Aim Point Replicas. I bought them from a fella Calgunner for $100 for both. But still this gun did cost around $800 to piece together. But take your time, and have fun with it. You can buy tactical 22's out of the box, but believe me its not as much fun. Plus you dont learn in the process.

The grip is made by FABS Defense. Its nice, but I wouldn't pay retail for it. I found a guy on Ebay that was selling them for $50 opposed to the $120+ everywhere else. I use it as a bi-pod more than a grip anyways. But it is cool, and when you make a rifle like this thats what its all about.

What's the eye relief for the magnifier?
