    Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 10 round mags.

I finally get to pick up my M&P15-22 from the FFL this Tuesday (very excited) and he was kind enough to limit two 25 round mags to 10 rounders for me so I can go shoot it next weekend. However, knowing I would want more 10/25 mags for training, I did some searching... Turns out no one out there is offering 10/25s and the stubby factory 10 rounders are weeks away. So I dropped a line to George at rrages.com and low and behold he just started pumping them out:

If you don't want to wait for the compliant model just order a standard model online and a few of these mags and you should be good to go.

    Happy Shooting

I love to see when other ppl see and understand the PITA California and other states have with mag limitations and produce a product that we all benefit from. RRAGES is an awesome site! He's increased his product line significantly since I've ordered from him not that long ago.

George @ RRages.com is an great vendor. Excellent service and good communication. His screw & pin set are essentials for a GSG.
The Model 610 was classified as the XM177[3] but adopted by the Air Force as the GAU-5/A Submachine Gun (GAU = Gun, Aircraft, Unit.) The Army purchased 2,815 Model 609 CAR-15 Commandos on June 28, 1966, which were officially designated Submachine Gun, 5.56 mm, XM177E1. - Wikipedia

              $28 each (includes shipping)

I haven't even ordered/purchased the M&P 15-22 yet and just ordered 2 mags anyway. lol

I guess it is my way of forcing myself to buy another rifle I don't need.

Thanks for the link! I see he has other stuff as well, I'll be ordering from him in the future for sure!

I bought an MP15-22 out of state with the 25 round mag. The FFL shipped the mag out to rrages.com and they re-worked it for 10 bucks including shipping it back to me. They are very responsive and helpful there.

Can these modified mags be taken apart for cleaning?

                      Not that I noticed
The factory instructions show the mag being taken apart for cleaning. They show it having a flat head screw on the bottom.

The mags I got from rrages AND the mag that came with the S&W both had a different type of screw in the bottom. More like a rivet?

I doesn't appear to be removable. If it was, I imagine the mags could be changed back to 25rnders.

Are these mags still for sale? The website does not appear to be really up and running.

The link in the OP is for the mags "which are sold out"
He has many other goodies though

Nobody has them and have been told they won't be available until late April. Sent George a email and he said he is sold out and waiting for more.

Gotta love the PRC, one 10 round mag, then reload!
California, love it or leave it....well after fifty years, sure am glad I left!
