    Ruger 10/22 magazine question..

i know for the AR rifles there are 10/30 magazines available. Im getting the archangle 10/22 conversion kit, but it just wont look right without a large cap mag. Are there are any large capacity "lookalike" mags available??

And ive done my reasearch but the answer is very grey..

are large capacity RIMFIRE mags legal in CA??

no, 10 or less. However I know cheaper than dirt sells mags for the 10/22 that aren't the original box mags, so they will look better. The ONLY rimfire you can own that holds more than 10 are the ones that hold the bullets in a tube. And as far as I know that rule only applies to .22's

Let me know if you find one of these. I have been looking for a look a like to. This is the closest I have found, and it still wont look right with a AR style.

have you guys checked all the websites? I haven't looked specifically for that item but i'm sure I have seen it on different websites. Including CTD. Just a thought since they usually have really good prices.

looks awesome. To bad they use a smoked halfway clear plastic i really wanted a flat black mag. oh well.

I knew on this, but was wondering, could you paint it without causing the rile any problems?

Yes, you can paint the mag, use the paint-for-plastics.
Mask off the feed lip area as you don't want any paint there.

Krylon makes a line of aerosol paints called Fusion. It's designed specifically to stick to plastics. I've had very good luck with it. If you think clearance will be a problem due to the thickness of the paint, just don't paint the part of the magazine that goes up into the weapon.

Let's see a pic of you mag. I've been using Ram Line mags when I go out of state. I'd like to get something that looks nicer with my Archangel set-up.
