    Plinking in High Desert Area...

I am in the Barstow/Victorville area. Anybody know a place in the desert where I can go plinking without getting a ticket like another fellow poster did?

up by calico there is BLM land you can shoot at, you can call the BLM office for the barstow district tommorow morning and they can tell you exactly where. But it's off the road that goes through calico, in fact google it and the map will show you.

+1 on Calico area. The turnoff is on the east end of Ghost Town Road. Don't recall the name, but there's a map/sign just off the Ghost Town Road at the turnoff. Not paved. Drive toward hills in E/NE direction. When you get to the part where the hills turn green and purple, you can sometimes find a place to shoot, but if there are a lot of motorcylces or campers there you'll probably want to go the rest of the four miles or so E/NE until it flattens out again. Look off to the left at a large flat area and shoot there. I've got the GPS coordinates at home if you need them. (I'm at lunch right now at work.)
Nehemiah 4:13-18 I stationed the families at our vulnerable spots with their weapons. The men worked in shifts to rebuild our walls; one half worked while the other half guarded. Each of the workers had his weapon either at his side or in his hand while he worked.

        Here are those coordinates: (roughly) N 34* 57' 26.4" by W 116* 49' 16.2".*
