lookin for a new 22LR... need some help!

hey guys I'm lookin to pick up a new 22LR rifle. I'm looking for something that is accurate and has some after market options... being able to change the barrel out would be nice. I'm not stuck on any particular action type either. and my spending cap is about $300 . I know one of the first obvious choices is the 10/22 which I really do love and use to have (sold to fund getting an AR)... But I would like to expand my horizon beyond the 10/22. I would also like something that is solid so if I spray it with gun scrubber it wont melt . So what are my options? primary use would be target shooting at the range and picking off small animals... basically I miss having a gun to shoot that I can spend the day playing at the range and not have to spend over $40 for the ammo and range fees haha. shoulda kept the 10/22. you just described it... as far as aftermarket mods, and being a great all-around rifle, the 10/22 is unrivaled.... i got my most recent one for $190, and then my folding stock was $70. so with dros (but not counting tax) it came in at $300, to rival all those tacti-whatever 22s.... if it aint broke, dont fix it!!!

got it at project 2000 shooting range a few years ago. its the standard carbine, blued. should be at least in the low 200's everywhere... theyre so awesome i have 2.

If you want aftermarket there's no beating the 10/22. You can turn it in to anything you want, really. Tactical carbine style, "sniper" style, classy looking target style...

i'd go CZ 452 if you dont mind a bolt action. Its stupid accurate out of the box.

The first half, followed by saving up for the complete payment, for a good to go, time proven, American made, feels like his AR - rifle! What else would come close to his desires for ~$439? If you can save $300, you can save a little longer and do it right the first time.

those are $600, and the controls are 10/22 controls. not ar15 controls. all it has is a pistol grip and collapsible stock.

when did he say he wanted another ar15 in .22lr? all i saw is a question about a modifiable 22 for under $300.

I have one of these with a Nikon Prostaff rimfire on top. It's both attractive and accurate.

well if I'm gonna go for an AR look I would rather same the extra money and get a dedicated upper for mine...I wish I still lived close to buds gun shop... use to live an hour and a half away from there before I moved to Cali ... the 10/22 is $203 right now... whats the price like on the CZ 452?

$203?? who cares about a cz! go buy a ruger!!!
