I have ZERO problems w/ my P22. Clean it, lube it, feed the ammo it likes, repeat. 500 rounds this weekend w/ the only problem being one FTF (ammo).

P22, cool looking, small grip, reliable with good high velocity ammo such as mini-mags, frequent ftf with Federal bulk pack ammo. Not very accurate. Mags are easy to load by hand.
Mosquito, cool looking, nice size grip, reliable only with good high velocity ammo such as mini-mags, frequent ftf with Federal bulk pack ammo. More accurate than the P22. Mags are hard to load by hand. HIGH cool factor.
Ruger MKIII 22/45, grip is narrow but if your creative you can do a 1911 grip mod and then it's fantastic! Feeds all ammo regardless how cheap it is, very reliable, accurate. Mags can be fed using the Ultimate Clip Loader which makes loading the mags a breeze and no lead on your fingers! Highly recommend this pistol.
Ruger MKII and MKIII standard frame pistols, same as above, highly recommended.
Browning Buckmark, some are picky about ammo but the ones I know do shoot well with Federal Bulk ammo, reliable, accurate, nicer triggers than the Rugers, mags can be loaded with the Ultimate Clip Loader. Recommended but be aware that they only come with one mag so if you are comparing prices with the other guns be sure to add $35 for an extra mag.
CZ Kadet, as reliable as the Rugers, accurate as the Buckmarks. Best of the best. Mags are pita to load by hand but you can modify the HKS mag loader and it works pretty good.
No experience with the S&W 22A. Friend is getting one next week and I will probably have an opinion after shooting it!
No experience with the Neos.
My favorite is the CZ Kadet, followed by the MKIII 22/45 with 1911 grip mod, followed by the the Mosquito. If the Mosquito reliability improves and can ultimately digest the cheap Federal bulk ammo it would take 2nd, and bump Ruger to 3rd place.Last edited by smittty; 10-25-2009, 9:44 PM.Comment

I have one just like that, and another one with the shorter (4"?) barrel. Someone on here had one for sale a few days ago, too.
High-Std's are amazingly accurate. Used to (when I had lots more free time) take mine to the range and shoot the metal plates out at 200 yards."Mr. Rat, I have a writ here that says you are to stop eating Chen Lee's cornmeal forthwith. I guess I will hold on and stay with my MK's II & III.....they look good, reliable and built to last..

Mark 3 22/45 ruger, not the coolest looking but they work and there is a huge aftermarket....The gun doesn't smell loaded.Comment

I used to buy for looks... now I have reliability and accuracy as requirements #1 and #2. Chose Ruger 22/45 for entry-level, and Marvel .22 upper on Springfield Armory 1911 frame for my higher-end 22.Nehemiah 4:13-18 I stationed the families at our vulnerable spots with their weapons. The men worked in shifts to rebuild our walls; one half worked while the other half guarded. Each of the workers had his weapon either at his side or in his hand while he worked.Comment
