    Caldwell Moving Targets

Has anyone used the Caldwell Moving Targets? I've seen them for sale at Midway and it looks like fun. Thank you, Michael

They used them in the rimfire portion of SCPRC 09. Those that shot the stage said it was a blast.
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Yes , Our club runs a rimfire match which includes 2 (but soon to be 4 ) of the caldwell shooting galleries . We have static steel plates a little paper targets but the big hit is the galleries. We have 20> shooters that drive from all over just to shoot moving steel.

Anyone with a 22 rimfire rifle is welcome . Pump action , lever , bolt or your AR conversion can shoot.

Hello zrock can you use mini mags at 50 yards? I know the specs say standard volecity. Thank you, Michael.

At 50 yds you could not hit these. The plates are small and they move at a meduim pace. The are only traveling level for approx 36 " . Not alot a time to get a good sight picture . We are shooting them at 15 yds . Most of our good shooters can only get 2-4 over a 15 sec period.

Mini mags will tear these things up over time. We have begun puting up barriers infront to protect/ extend there uses. We use telephone poles cut to 5' lenghts . @ 199 ea i want to keep them around. They are worth ever penny at a rimfire match. Where else do you get to shoot a moving target with your rimfire . Try it at night with flood lights . Lots of fun

They are cool but don't expect the cute little orange stickers to last any time at all. The first hit will send the sticker flying. No biggie just paint the targets with fresh paint now and then and your good to go.

I was surprised how long they last. Come out and give it try.
