They will be rebuilt/repaired into new BDM 50rd drums.

This is legal to do if you currently lawfully own a compatible hi-capacity magazine for an AR-22 conversion or upper.

I repaired/rebuilt all my old (literally, OLD) Ciener hi-cap mags into BDM's a while ago. Now they've got a new drum coming out, so I might have to retire a magazine a little early to get one.
