I'm looking for a replacement barrel for my Model 12A. The bore is shot!! It looks like a gravel road inside. Outside it's beautiful, inside...... no so beautiful.
I've considered relining, but I've read a couple of articles that said the Model 12 is not a good candidate for relining because of the way the boltface makes contact with the barrel. It peans the liner over and creates extraction problems. I don't know enough about it to know if that's accurate, but Numrich has octagonal barrels for less than $90 new, $60 used, but no ROUND barrels.
I've found octagonal barrels (Numrich) but am having difficulty locating a round 22" barrel for the 12A.
Any suggestions or vendors? Perhaps one standing in the corner of your shop waiting to relocate?
