    GSG-5 .22LR Rimfire.....

I have a GSG-5 rifle, currently in its California-Legal form with factory buttstock. I am thinking about putting on either a collapsible or folding stock. There are dealers in CA and as I understand it from them, as long as my rifle is longer than 26" OAL, I am good to go. Even when this stock is completely collapsed, the OAL of this rifle is approx. 26.75" long. Is there anything else that I need to be worried about?

    Thanks in Advance

You can post this in the "rimfire" section to get more help.

collapsible stock will keep it above 26. A folding stock will be too short however.

          gsg 5 rifle

my gsg 5 rifle with folding side stock had to add a peice of one inch grommet from lowe's to achieve 26 inches folded.
added rubber between the plastic butt cap and folder hidge.GTG{good- to-go} at 26 inches folded.

One caveat with the collapsable stock is that most of them, when completely collapsed, partially blocks the ejection port. I haven't noticed it actually causing any issues, but the rails do extend a bit past the port.
