Missing an important piece to an old .22

Hi. I just inherited a very old Mossberg .22 bolt action that's probably from the 50s or so. It is tube fed but I got it missing the rod that goes in the tube. I checked Mossberg's site and didn't even see any tubefed .22s so is it possible to get this piece anywhere? Or are they somewhat universal? Thanks.

Check E gun parts or Gunbroker.com every day. Sometimes old guns get parted out and go up for auction

                  Got a model number?

There's a good chance that even if you can't find the exact one there's a common part here:

I replaced a tube and rod and found a new one at brownells. Mine was a remington though.

Agreed. He wrote the book on old Mossbergs.
