    will 30 plus year old 22 LR miss-fire?

    I have some really old stuff. about every 8th round doesnt fire the first time sometimes a second strike does it? is it old (Or is it my gun, seems to be flawless on the new stuff)

    it can depend on how this 'old' ammo was stored.....I have 22lr ammo from the 50's that fire every time...

        geez when i was 12 it was 8.99 a brick of 500.

            I have some Montgomery Ward .22 I bought in the late '70s when I lived in OR. I put it in an ammo can when I moved and forgot about it until a I came across it about 10 years ago. I've been slowly shooting it up just to see when it becomes unreliable. It's still fine and I seem to recall I paid $5 / 500 on sale.
