    marlin model 60 emergency kit

I recently found out that the buttplate of my model 60 composite stock has a removable buttplate. In the past I thought it was fixed, but after unscrewing it I found that if I took a corkscrew and put it about .25" into the screw hole I could pull the buttplate off with about 10lbs of pressure. The stock is completely hollow and has quite a bit of room.
I used my dremel to shave down the the buttplate so it comes in and out a bit easier. I stocked it with 50 rds, fishing equip, knife, magesium/flint block, beta light, sewing thread for repairs and stitches if needed and some meds. I'll try to get some pics up later, but if not have fun with figuring out what you want in yours!

lol, kinda cool idea. Add a sling and you'll be set. On a side note, how do you like your Marlin 60? I've been itching to get a stainless one for a while now.

Great idea! Since I have two of them, I'm going to try it on at least one.
