.22 BARREL QUESTION

OK so I know silencers are illegal in CALIF but with air rifles they make barrels that are silenced internally and there is a company that makes .22 barrels this way.
My question is can this legally be owned since the silencer is internal and not removable without destroying the barrel (with air guns this is ok).
Is it possible that this might be a loophole.

There is really no such thing as a "silencer" just surpressors. Anyway, surpressors for firearms are illegal in the entire country without the proper NFA tax stamp. California has gone one step further and made it impossible/illegal for a civillian to get one. However, there is no regulation on surpressors for airguns in case you wanted one. As far as the law is concerned, it doesn't make a difference whether it is an intergral surpressor or a detachable one. Either way, if it can be attached to a firearm, you better have the proper NFA paperwork.

CSA is right.

Several companies out there make integral barrel suppressors for 22's but not a chance getting one in kali.
