    What to offer?

I have a family friend that has a Victor Military that is in awesome condition, I want to offer her a fair price but also want to get a decent deal what should I start at??
I have been looking at some sites and these guns range from $500-950. She is not a shooter but is no dummy and knows how to use the internet and like I said she is a family friend.

I already tried RFC and didn't get much help (one person Pm'd me)
    Thanks

I'd first ask what she wants....give her time to do research and depending on her circumstances let her decide whats fair.
I don't know too much about this pistol but it seems you've found a price range....maybe take the average and then take off 10%??? Gun markets fluctuate just like everything else... so who knows whats fair these days.

Nice pistola! Especially if she is a family friend and the military is in awesome condition I'd have to offer what they have sold for in the last 90 days or so. Not what someone thinks they're worth but actual "sells." You'll feel better about the deal. Good luck!

If you go to gun broker and are signed up with them you can use the advanced search feature and search completed auctions and see what they acutally sell for . I have been in a similar situation and when I asked what they wanted they offered me the gun for about 1/4 what it was worth , Instead I gave them what its worth and found I slept very well that night .

thanks for the input guys. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to hose my friend but I am always looking to score a great bargain, I'll check out GB and I've asked her what she wants and she hasn't given me a price (maybe she isn't hot on selling it for sentimental reasons) I don't want to be pushy so I'll wait and do some research.

No matter how you approach it, you will end up a looser when it comes to these kinds of deals. If you have her price it then you will be much better off.
