    Kidd Trigger pull weight????????

Going to order the Kidd Trigger group. I need some input on what trigger weight to get.

Pros and cons of getting the lightest.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

Will use it for target shooting / BUT want to be able to take it out into the field.

I'll be ordering the Kidd Combo here soon too....I was gonna go with either 12oz/1.5lb or the 1lb/2lb.... I risk sounding like a know it all and please don't take this the wrong way but I too was under the assumption you were only getting one settup...however the trigger is fully adjustable!!

You can modify the weight if you're not satisfied with what Tony sets for you when you order. The drop down menu that allows you to select the weight is just what he will do prior to shipping. But if you look at his videos he shows you how to adjust the weight.

Are there ideal trigger weights for target shooting and then some for hunting....or it doesn't matter.

I'm not a hunter nor would I say I am a precision shooter either. I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night though....

I would think it depends on you the shooter. Me personally, I don't want too light of a pull, I mean seriously at 6oz! You look at that trigger wrong and it will fire. But all it would take is for you to spend some time at the range and figure what works, then hopefully when you're out hunting your muscle memory will let you know how to pull your trigger.

Another option you will have is either the straight or curved? Red or black? Ahh....... decisions decisions decisions! If your stock is thumb hole Tony recommends the straight blade.

I have a Kidd Trigger on my Ruger 17HMR, I had it set at 8oz/8oz
Love it....one of the best triggers on the market you won't be dissapointed. I use my rifle for varmint hunting and never had a accidental discharge

Did you adjust it yourself? Or did you order it that way?

If its going to be a dedicated bench gun and no worry of hunting or safety toting it around, get the lightest trigger you can with the flat blade. I've played with them at different settings and as stated above, they are fully adjustable from the factory.

I went with the 8oz/8oz setup.
If you are not used to trigger this light, you might go with an 8oz/12oz or an 8oz/16oz.
