I like... and would definitely install one on my Ciener-converted dedicated .22lr for full functionality in both calibers.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

      Bump it up.

I need a TacSol upper for testing! I'll pay for shipping both ways, organize some sort of collateral so you know I'm not stealing your upper, and I'll give you a free catch for the hassle.

How long do you need it for? I've got a TacSol M4 upper. Internally identical to their LT model.
        Please read the Calguns Wiki
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

I wouldn't need it for long. The time depends on if I need to make another piece or not.

If it works with the Spike's, Ceiner catch then I'll have it in the mail back to you the next day.

If I need to design another piece then It would be a week-ish. If that is too long for you I'm willing to work something else out.

My Spikes bolt is caught by the follower on my Blackdog mag, but when I remove the mag it slams shut. Will this hold the bolt open, and release the bolt when depressed?

              Thx for your work

Sorry for the wait guys, right now I'm waiting for the second prototype to get drawn up so I can send it off to the shop. I'm working as fast as I can and I definitely want to get these made asap.

Yes and no. When you use this with your Black Dog magazine with the hold-open follower it will hold the bolt open on the last round. You still need to pull the charging handle back to engage the bolt catch but once you do it will hold the bolt back until the catch is depressed.

I contacted Black Dog a couple days ago to see if they would be interested in making a magazine with a follower that would work with my catch so we could have a true LRBHO but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

I think I'm good to go on the machining but if the company ends up falling through I'll let you know.

                        Update!

I just paid the deposit yesterday to have the first batch made. I should have them here in about a month or so. Sorry for taking so long!

This version will be compatible with Spike's bolts and uppers, TacSol uppers, and Ceiner kits.

It won't have last round hold open right now but within two months there will be a solution to this problem.

I'll keep you guys updated as new things come up.

Bump it up. Last round hold open has been figured out and the samples are in the mail to me right now.

I think the BDM all now have bolt hold open anyway... Mine all do. btw will these work with both the .22 and .223 bolt on a .223 rifle?

BDM mags have bolt hold open followers but when you drop the mag, the bolt goes forward. This will hold the bolt back with or without a mag in.

These just work with the .22 bolt. I hope to come out with a dual caliber version in the future but it's still a while out.
