which optic for the GSG-5?

red dot or scope? Like to put a small magnified scope on it... Any suggestions that will hold zero for low cost?

No but seriously, it held zero on a regular 18" AR for quite a while before I changed out to a scope, its been a great little optic with the 4 different reticles and seems to be made well. Bang for the buck you can't beat it.

I use the vortex strikefire. Red/green dot with x2 screw on magnifier and comes with high/low mounts.
