Thank you all for your help in picking out my new rimfire. There is now a new Buckmark UDX in jail with my name on it. I considered the Ruger Mark IIIs, the Beretta Neos, and the Sig Mosquitos, but the Buckmark fit my hand better. I can't wait to take it to the range.

PS - I haven't yet told the wife. Is saving money on ammo the best approach to take with wives?

Congrats and welcome to the rimfire club! I had a Buckmark UDX that I sold and have regretted it ever since. I'm just waiting for my 30 days to pass and I'll probably end up getting another UDX.

As to the wife, In our house we use the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. As my dad would tell me "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission."

congrats on the new purchase. As for using that excuse on the wife, it doesn't seem to work for me

The best option for me is to throw it in the safe. She doesn't recognize or can tell once it's mixed with all the other guns

Which model did you get? I just bought one too! Brand spanking new for $325! I plan on sporting it out with a Trail Light barrel and possible red dot. I can't get mine till the 16th. It was this one....

Post some pics in the Buckmark thread when you get them guys. congratulations on now owning one of the funnest handguns ever..

I dunno, I've never been much for guns. I mean, sure, we have the usual gun by the door, another near the TV, one in the kitchen, and another in the bedroom...and several others laying around. For the most part though, we keep our home free of guns. We are peace loving folks.

mine likes all 40gr RN SV CCI best, next is the minimags. It is scary accurate with either the trailite or the stock barrel. I did the heggis trigger job cut the groups in half, now I just need to find the time to put in the overtravel trigger
in should be a dime killer at that point, right now it shoots nickels.
