Mounting a light on the GSG 5 HK slim fore end?

Just got the MP5 skeletonized stock, nut and bolt kit, sling, HK slim fore end, and low profile top rail for my GSG 5 from RRAGES. I really like the new set up, but I am thinking I would like a tactical light for the HK slim fore end, and was wondering if the holes on the sides of this fore end could be used to mount a light? I believe that I have seen it done before.....and I don't want to get the rail front end. If anyone has done this, I would appreciate a heads up.

maybe you can try screwing a short weaver rail to the grip enough for mount the light, i dono how sound this idea is but I am considering it for my GSG-5 SD.
