    CZ 452 17 HMR owners

I finally picked up my new CZ Model 452 American 17 HMR.
The little 17 HMR is a freaking laser and blows up squirrels like the mother of all varmint killing tools. My 22's need lots of Kentucky windage and elevation to even walk rounds onto targets that are far out there past 80-90 yds.
After I sighted it in and started drilling clays out to 179 yds I felt like Luke Skywalker picking up a light saber for the first time!
This thing is dead nuts on and makes me a true believer in the cartridge.
This won't be my last 17 HMR rifle.
Chime in if you own a 17 HMR of any flavor.

Savage 93r17. synthetic stock, bull barrel and the acutrigger. quickly became my favorite rifle. I instantly fell in love with that catridge puts california ground squirrels down cold.

I have the same thing, same experience on paper. Out to 100 yds it's accurate as heck. I wish it were a little larger rifle though.

Congrats on the CZ! Great rifle in the best rimfire varmint cartridge around. I have a CZ 452 Varmint in 22lr, but I want to get a 17HMR twin.

The .17HMR is a great little round.

Absolute death on ground-squirrels & crows.
I bought the Savage 93R17-BV first, I like it so well, and it was so popular with my friends, I bought another .17HMR for myself (so I wouldn't have to share). The second one is a CZ452 Varmint.
            Here's a couple of pics.

Just picked up a CZ 453 Varmint (set trigger) in 17 HMR though I may sell it if I'm convinced I should get the 22 WMR instead. I'm curious why everyone here went with the 17 over the 22 mag? The 22 will not blow up good meat, it is cheaper (barely), more readily available, more choices and less wind drift (I think). Sure the 17 is flatter but all things considered I'm torn about keeping it.

Sorry for the cheesy flag/towel picture; I didn't take it.

I love my 453 Varmint in 17 HMR. On a calm day it can shoot Hornady into 1.25" at 200 yards. The single set trigger is incredibly crisp and set under a pound.

CZ 452 Trainer 17HMR here with Shooters Ridge 6-18X42 scope and Eric Brooks trigger kit...you really need to trick out your CZ rifle trigger, it is an inexpensive kit and a DIY job. Mine has a 1.5 lb trigger right now. If you thought yours is dead-on accurate with the factory trigger, you'll be surprised how much better it can shoot with a trigger job.
