    Light and accurate 10/22 barrel

So what's a good light and accurate barrel for the 10/22 that won't break the bank?

    Thanks.

These with the right stock makes it seem like your carrying a toy plastic gun. Really light and pretty darn accurate if you can keep still enough.

If you find the right ammo, the one that it came with. Most stock ruger barrels are very accurate, it's all in the ammo your particular rifle likes... These guys have a lot of different barrels for the 10/22:

This might not be as light as you want but for the price they are very nice target barrels
Look here at a ER Shaw 18" blued bull for $74.00:

      Good luck and have fun

whatever you do, stay away from 'butter creek barrels'. For a cheap accurate barrel look at Adams&bennett and Green Mtn. If you're an accuracy nut, I would highly reccommend Volquartsen, Shilen, Clark Customs etc. as you will more than likely end up selling the cheaper barrel and buy a higher quality barrel.

These look really tempting to try out on a new 10/22 and cheap too.

I have a B&C 20 inch bull barrel that gets me 1/4MOA at 50 yards
I have no idea why people trash B&C
Yes there carbon fiber barrels arent that good but other than that there steel barrels are top notch

I have a nice Butler Creek that I took off. It wasn't that it was inaccurate. It's just too heavy for me. I'll make a nice deal on it to anyone who is interested.

The stock one? I'm just saying for what you get it works so good. There are far better bull barrells of course.

The reason is their quality is very spotty. You may end up with a b/c barrel like you said that'll shoot tiny groups but how many b/c's out there that'll shoot well with most ammo. My uncles b/c would shoot nice groups here and there but it'll never shoot nice groups consistantly---and it only likes one brand-cci mini mag solids. Put any other thru it and you might as well get a shotty. For what it cost b/c barrels are pretty much junk compared to others. If b/c barrels were cheap like 75bucks new, then yeah it may be worth the try. But just think of how many types of .22 ammo you may have to go thru to just find out that it'll only shoot okay.
