Browning Buck Mark with threaded barrel??

I'm on my 10 day wait for my browning. I would like to get one of the Tactical solution barrels for it. My question is.. Can I get one of there trail lite threaded barrels with a compensator and be CA legal? I think I read that handguns can't have a threaded barrel in CA. but not sure if the .22lr falls in this catagory.

a semi-automatic handgun with a threaded barrel is an AW in CA, rimfire or not.

YOu coul own the barrel, but couldn't install it while in CA. Or, you could have the comp permanenlty installed over the threads and then it would be legal to use.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

      Thanks Ke6guj,

Glad I didn't go buy it already. I'll probably just go with the non-threaded and take the extra sight radious I'll get with that.

I've been looking at those Trail Lite barrels too...I'd like to get a threaded barrel and compensator like the one in the gallery ( the black one sitting on top of the glocks...soo cool looking) The guy said that tac sol pinned the comp to the barrel making it legal to own and have on in CA. But he said that it wasn't something they normally do...? Any suggestions on where to get comp pinned to the barrel locally...NORCAL? Any one buy a threaded barrel and comp then have it pinned?
