    GSG-5 FIRING PIN MOD

I was bored last night so I was doing some google-in and came across these mods you can do to the GSG on AR15.com.

So anyways the firing pin mod caught my attention as I have had a couple light strikes the other day at the range.

Well the post just shows the pin/housing and breach all disassembled already. I cant find anything to show how to take the darn thing apart. I get the three screws out but that's about it. There's this raised piece of metal with a serial number on it that the housing fits over, but there's not enough play to get the housing off this raised metal. It doesn't lift over the pin either.

Well I gave up not wanting to break it. I'm waiting for my screw kit from RRAGES. That leads to another question...when I do the screw upgrade should I locktite all the screws? I like being able to take the upper apart for a thorough cleaning, and while I had the bolt apart last night I was able to clean what I hadn't been able to clean while it was together. I can understand locktite'ing the housing to the pin breach...

look at the tutorial on how to do the bolt mod. that has all the instructions on how to take apart the bolt carrier. i did do the firing pin mod. if i get a light strike/non-fire 1 or 2 in a few hundred, not an issue to me.
