    Colt/Umarex M4 Trigger

So I'm sure all of you that own or have shot the new Colt M4 .22LR have noticed how much of a pain it is to pull the trigger.

    "Trigger Pull 6.6-9.9 lbs " - Colt's website

I'm hoping someone out there smarter than me can come up with a solution to this. Has anyone found a way to replace the trigger group? Or at least ease up the weight on it?

    Thoughts?

It's not at AR trigger system. It's proprietary.

Man I wish that didn't settle it. Any gunsmiths out there in the LA area that would be interested in maybe taking a look and seeing if they can figure something out? I'd be more than willing to offer up my M4 as a test subject.

Thanks for asking this ... the trigger pull is the only thing making me hesitate on the M4.

I'm 99% sure that a good gunsmith with some time will be able to figure this out ... gunsmiths do this with all kinds of firearms. Have you tried taking it in person anywhere?

If you succeed, please post who did it and how much $ it cost. I'll probably go there myself since I'm in L.A.

I haven't tried taking it to someone yet. Gonna see if anyone on CGN has any recommendations as I only know gunsmiths in NY. If/when I do, I'll defintely report back.

Otherwise, the M4 is great. Have you shot it yet? Since you're in LA, I'd be willing to let you try mine if you want. PM me.
