    my sako quad

Heres my quad. I got it from whitakers 2 months ago and Im really happy with this thing so far. Its VERY accurate with Eley Match ammo and i'm dreaming of what the results might be with some TenEx down the tube. So far i've:

Sanded and filled the slots on the stock
Textured the stock and filled the hollow buttstock with expansion foam so it doesn't sound so cheesy
    Larry Gish trigger job
Rimfire Tech Bolt knob, 20 MOA base, I got the RFTech prototype trigger guard I pillar bedded the stock and it DID help
    Lilja 22lr barrel
    Seekins rings
    Falcon Menace 4-14x44 FFP
I had everything Duracoated and im sending the action in next so it will match

Future plans are for either a Mcmillan stock or a Manners and she will be done Hope you like it so far

      Very nice setup!

Thinking about ordering one from Whittikers myself if they still have
the .22lr barrel in stock. Did you do any accuracy comparisons between the Sako and Lilja barrels, or did you sell the original barrel to fund the Lilja??

I might even go C-R-A-Z-Y and order it in HM2 (my 1st), as I understand it uses the same magazine as the 22LR. I understand the weight it's pretty light (?).... With a lightweight scope and aluminum rings, it should make a great squirrel gun!

Actually i ordered mine in 22mag. They only had 22lr and mag in stock when i ordered. I wanted HMR but i figured the mag would be fun too. Turns out its pretty darn accurate too. The Lilja is crazy accurate though. Ive contemplated making her a dedicated BR 22.

With a light contour barrel, some alum rings and a light scope it would be a very handy rifle to carry around for squirrel/rabbit. I might get another one eventually just for that purpose

The HM2 is WAY to much fun. It's almost as cheap to shoot as the 22lr but the speed of the 17 is a kick. I got my Quad in 17HM2 and it shoots very well. Not as good mind you, as my Anny but very well compaired to others I've seen box stock. I do have a 22lr bull barrel that a friend sent me to test drive because I shoot suppressed(sorry guys) and the barrel will out shoot me real easy. I shot a .404CTC the other day and it would have been under .240 had the shooter not messed up with one pull of the trigger.

That aluminum trigger guard looks cool but to me the finish one I seen posted is da bomb!

          From another forum:

ETA: I was shooting at 50yrds with Wolf MT and I know it will shoot better then that(but I doubt I can).

          Cool Rimfire Parts <-----
