    Very cool!

But I'm pretty short "limited availability" regarding firearms manufacturers is gun-Latin for going to be overpriced.

Gun Genie says NO but you can order the kit directly and drop in your own 10/22 guts:

Yeah I figured I would need to go the mod route. Samson also has the folding stock for a bull barrel which is pretty cool. Thanks for the link!

It's rimfire so AWB stuff doesn't apply.

The only thing that might apply is if OAL is <26" when folded.

ETA: I emailed Ruger to see if they know what OAL when folded is. If I hear back, I'll post the answer.

If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

Additional Specifications for Ruger 10/22?: Butt stock to end of Barrel using the carbine factory 18.5″ barrel: 26.25?

The rifle linked in the OP has a 16 or 16.5 inch barrel. Doing the math, I believe the OAL would be under 26 inches. I believe California requires a minimum OAL of 26 inches regardless of the Rimfire caliber. Perhaps that is why it is not available or eligible for shipment to California?
              Thanks for the info, ISB.

Ruger lists OAL (I'll assume this is stock unfolded, they don't specify) at 35".

Gunbuyer.com says folded it's 25.625"...oh so close if correct, haha!!

I don?t see this as an issue.

Simply have the gun sent to an intermediary FFL (like the ones in AZ or NV) where they stick on a really long flash hider or muzzle brake, and pack it up and send it to CA FFL.

Sure, it will cost a bit more but you can at least have it.

100%!! I use a middleman FFL all the time (EBR Works is the best: https://www.ebrwebstore.com/middleman-ffl-services/ ).

But if I can avoid the MMFFL fee, I'll do it, haha!! (Sorry, EBR )

                    FYI.

The 26" overall length requirement is due to CA SBR laws. [PC 17170(b)]

Due to CA case laws, overall length is measured with the firearm in the shortest possible fireable configuration (stock folded/collapsed or removed, if quick detachable).

Do not be surprised that that muzzle device used to ensure the firearm meets the CA minimum length requirement is permanently attached.

Heard back from Ruger re: OAL folded.

"About 24 and 3/8th" without the flash hider"
Oh well, looks like a middleman FFL or the Samson parts to the rescue, haha!!
