The wait begins - Ruger Mark III Hunter.

Well my wait for a Ruger Mark III Hunter started today. Gussler's received it from Bud's Gun Shop and the paperwork is done.

    To make things better, a co-worker bought my S&W 22A-1 for $200 (same $$ as I paid in 2003).

    is it the 21st yet?

Yep. 6 7/8" barrel. Been drooling over it too, since buying the 22A-1. With this, the Sig P226 (9mm) and Ruger P90DC, I know I will never be able to blame to gun again. It's all on me now.

Plus between Bud's and Gussler's, all my shopping needs are complete, unless...

Very nice! A ruger 22/45 (maybe a hunter) will be my next purchase. I DROS'd a GSG-5 and like you I'm counting the minutes till' the 21st.

I have had that exact Ruger for about a year now. Bought it at Turner's when they were in Riverside, tho I actually bought it at the show at Raahauge's in Corona.

I recall being hesitant about buying it after hearing how hard it was to disassemble and assemble. When I finally did, I just read the manual and looked at a video I found on the net and it was fairly easy. I am not in the least bit mechanically inclined, so if I can do it, anyone can.

I really like it. That said, if I could do it over, I would have bought a less expensive blue one with a shorter barrel and bought a red dot optic for it. I bought it since it was the only one with a fiber optic sight and at 59, my eyesight isn't what it used to be. Well, the green FO is so small, it doesn't work all that great for me. I'll probably have to buy the red dot, but I'll feel stupid spending the extra money doing it.

It still is an excellent gun and you will enjoy it. Purty too.

Fun & accurate shooter. Maybe a little heavy for some.

It is fairly common to have ejection issues with the mags. I would get at least 1/10 failures with any ammo I tried. Then I found this mod for the mags and the gun has been flawless ever since. I love that gun.

I have the same gun! Great little shooter! Add a VQ ejector when you get a chance, really helps with any FTE issues. Mine eats all the bulk pack ammo with no issues. Way more accurate than I am.
