Anyone running Techsights with a red dot on the receiver? The rear sight uses two of the mounting screws on the rear, so there are only two screws towards the front of the receiver to mount a rail section. It doesn't seem like it will be sturdy enough with two screws so close together. The only other option I see is to mount the red dot on the barrel using the Magpul X-22 mount.

Yes...
DNR,
The only way I was able to make this work is to purchase a full length rail and mount it to the receiver. Then mount the Techsight at the back and RD in front. I had a Vortex cantilever see-through scope mount and a Bushnell TRS-32 lying around and this is where they sit today. My "idea" was to have an Appleseed and Steel Challenge rifle all in one.
Picture for reference...

Regards,
Mike

Thanks Mike. That definitely seems like the easiest option. I think I might go that route.Comment

Not sure if you saw this techsights make a version that you add to a Ruger OEM rail, and you could co witness with a low enough red dot

Thanks, that seems to be the only viable option. I already have the TSR100 sights so I was hoping to use a rail section with that sight. It doesn't look like that will work.Comment
