    Which one ?

I didn't want to post this in SteveK's thread since he was doing a Colt/Umarex M4 .22 range report, so I thought I'd start a new thread.

After reading his thread, I'm now aware there is that model, the S&W MP-15 .22, the Sig 522 .22 and GSG5 rifles. They range in price from the mid $400s to $600 or so, from what I've been able to ascertain.

Which one to buy is my question. I've read the posts from those who have tested the Colt and GSG5 and they like them. I know nothing about the other two and have not seen or shot any of them.

I have owned a XDSC 9mm as a daily ccw gun for 6yrs., so I'm not adverse to buying a polymer rifle like some do.

The S&W comes standard with the quad rails that you can mount accessories on. I noticed you have to buy the more expensive model Colt to get those.

So, anyone have experience with the Sig or S&W. They cost less than the other two and that is a factor I should consider, but I don't want to buy a less expensive model if it isn't a good one.

    Thanks for any input.

Are the magazines for the SW proprietary like on Colts or do they share the similar platform w. Ciener, Spike, etc?

Thanks Scratch. I figured from the ads I read, with the prices given, they were available. Maybe they will by the end of the year when the money I'm expecting will be coming.

sw are proprietary like the colts from what i've read... but i could be wrong? maybe someone on rimfirecentral got their hands on one and tested it?

since the only thing stopping the S&W from being here is the lack of 10 round magazines if i recall.
