    Miniature Mosin Nagant

Have you ever walked into a gun store and saw a firearm you just had to have?

I was in Ammo Brothers today buying some M80 and looked up from the counter at the rack. When I saw that thing, I did a double take. I immediately asked the clerk to let me see it and took a good look at it. It is a very well made .22 caliber miniature version of the larger Mosin one of which I've owned. It is single shot, light, and less than three feet long.

That thing was cuter than a creek full o' catfish. It was just a tad under $400 and I might just buy one when I get my tax return.

Its made by Keystone Sporting Arms, the same manufacture that makes the Cricket single-shot rimfire rifle series.

It's a nice piece, but $400 is a bit too high for a .22 Mosin to me. I'd rather shoot real Mosin. I have several Mosin.

Didn't they also make a Mauser replica the same way?

Back in the early 90's I believe Discount Gun Mart on Morena Blvd had a rack of French Training Rifles. These were new made, in France, K98's with a detachable magazine, 22 caliber. I should have bought one!
