    Heritage Settler Mares Leg

My hopes for a Rossi Brawler being California legal were dashed, how about the Heritage .22lr Mares Leg?

It is a CA legal off-Roster lever-action repeating pistol.

Because it is a lever-action, it can not be modified to meet SSE2 (single-shot pistol exemption) due to SSE2 requiring the pistol to operate as a bolt-action single-shot or as a break-open single-shot.

Therefore, a CA FFL dealer can only legally transfer it via exemption (LEO sale, PPT, out-of-state intra-familial transfer, or out-of-state operation of law transfer).

Heritage Manufacturing can submit it for testing to get listed on-Roster because it has all the required CA mandated safety features for a lever-action repeating pistol.

        That's cool man...

I was never much for these type of guns but I'd buy one of these if they make the list
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I have a Ranchand in .45LC. I think of it as a purely novelty firearm. It is very impractical. That said, I'm definitely interested in a Settler for a bit under MSRP.
