Walther P-22?

Just got flyer from Sportsmen's Warehouse and it's offering P-22s for $260. I know it's controversial but mine works just fine and that's a very good price.

Had one in 2004. Pistol would go off out of battery. There are much better .22s from S&W.
I would not buy another P-22.

Mine has worked flawless, except for the time I installed a captive recoil spring system to improve it. Big mistake. It jammed badly. The stock spring works flawless. It shoots fine with no problems.

Another vote for a SR22 or maybe the LCPII in .22. Buy one, see how a .22LR pistol should run, and sell the Walther... buy another Ruger. That's my experience.

I'm a .22 semi-auto fiend and have all three. All are interesting in their own ways.

You will be able to enjoy getting rid of two POSs instead of just one.

Like the Sig P230 and P365, Ruger SR-22's serial number is also on a module, those color frames can be dropped in after purchase. Don't know where to get them though.

I'm more interested in the long slide version.

Guess I got lucky with my P-22. mine runs just fine. Now since moving to Nevada I picked up the TX-22. trigger/bar was a little gritty, fixed that up real quick.

I would personally not buy the Ruger SR22.. Bought one for the Wife..It was problematic in strange way.. It went away and I am not into plastic Firearms at all. But it does not bother Her, she does not know any better.. So I bought her a Taurus TX22.. Working great so far..
