Which one(s) you like, and why?

      - Carbine (17 versions)
      - Takedown (15 versions)
      - Takedown Lite (2 versions)
      - Target (3 versions)
      - Combat (2 versions)
      - Tactical (8 versions)
      - Sporter (14 versions)
I had the standard and few others. I like them in short barrels and looking to get the https://www.ruger.com/products/1022C...ets/31114.html

Model 3114, or any that has the shorter barrel!

Interesting... I just put it on my list, thanks.

        New question...

Can someone tell me why this Sporter is over $100 more than this Carbine?

They look the same, the specs are nearly identical, except for the stock.

American Walnut stock with checkering, vs. "wood"... harder to source most likely... just buy one of the plastic ones!

That's the compact model that I mentioned earlier. The stock is the same profile as the ruger american rimfire bolt action and the 10/22 takedown lite. The stock also came on an earlier 10/22 anniversary model in FDE with the 16" barrel. I have had all of them. It is my favorite polymer stock for the 10/22. The compact model listed above has the fiber optic sights from the factory. It is worth the little extra over the base model and I saw in online right now for $249 black friday special.

I have two of them. One of them is a standard model that I’ve had since I was a teenager. it it’s pretty old. The new one I have is a more specialized one with a molded composite stock and a bull barrel. it it’s factory made for a Ruger and I bought it directly from their site. Its supposedly very accurate. But like a dozen guns I own I’ve never taken it out of the box and tried it

My last 10/22 purchase was a tactical model with stanard black plastic stock with 16 inch barrel flash hider.
I put a Midwest Industries stock system on it. Gives it an AR style look.

I'm on the wait list for a limited production black laminate International. Said it could be up to a year. I've seen 3 at different shops, 2 in Idaho, 1 in Stockton. PAX

                        It depends on your usage.
I have a son who is now 14 and was 12 when I purchased the Ruger 10/22 Compact. (Model 31114)

I purchased that model, because as pinger noted above, the stock is modular and longer length-of-pull modules can be swapped in/out.
(So, with that one model, either my son could shoot it and it fits him well, or I can swap the stock modules and I can shoot it and it fits me well.)

As a side note, that is my son's favorite and he considers himself more of a "rifleman" than a pistol kid.

You are missing Ruger 10/22 TALO exclusive models (more than 10 versions and keep growing).

I have a number of 10/22s with no Ruger parts.

Ruger just came out with a 3.5 pound carbon version. That's what I would buy.

That’s a nice looking gun. I’m rather drawn to the version in the chassis but $1100 is a bit much. It makes the one you posted seem affordable
