Vertical fore grip on 22LR hk mp5 rifle

I?m planning on adding a vertical foregrip on my hk mp5 22lr

If i remember correctly 22lr rifles were exempt from the rules of awb. Couldn?t find any recent info confirming it via search. Wanted to check if laws changed?

You got my attention, how and what will be your foregrip.

I use a modified C clamp grip on all my AR type rifles and prefer a short foregrip, the BCM gunfighter short foregrip is one of my favorites for this. Really interested in how what will work for the H&K.

Here is the set up on my M&P 15/22. Would like something similar for the H&K.

I am planning on getting this csm tri rail handguard
But as for the foregrip i?m debating on either short or normal length grip. I feel the normal length makes it look more proportional.

I?ll have to look up that hand guard not familiar with it. The only reason to use a full grip is if you wrap your hole hand around it. I grip the foregrip very high and my thump indexeing the hand guard, I find it to give a much firmer and stable grip. Use the same on regular 5.56 ARs and AKs with a foregrip. All about function for me a full size would just add mass and weight with half of it never used.

Just looked it up, a little pricy at $99. I?d much prefer one in M-LOK, hope it follows.

I personally like the classic look of the HKMP5 22. Fun for the whole family.
