Like the title says.
I shot one match at a local club. Official scoring but no trophies. Just bragging rights. Which as all shooters know are way more valuable than trophies due to their ability to be transported anywhere and the way they stretch whenever desired. ;-)
Didn?t win. Came in second. I have an older anschutz 54 with a bushnell scope. The rifle was owned by a friends grandfather who shot competitively in the Midwest I?m told.
Any advice for getting started?
I used mid grade federal gold match. (I was told it was mid grade, it was the most expensive I saw in the store. So. [emoji38])
Use Caldwell bags.
The bulls are dark and I was wondering if an illuminated reticle would help? I definitely love illuminated reticle a for hunting near dawn and dusk.
Where will I be spending my money? Better scope? Better rests? Better ammo? Looking to leverage other peoples mistakes because there?s just not enough time to make them all myself.
