Nope never seen that before, pretty cool. You’d need a really good worked over 10/22 for that and a really good rifle stabilizer. Don’t think a front bag would be good enough and certainly not a bi-pod. Don’t think my Rad Arms 10/22 with its 16” barrel would be good enough, maybe my Ruger Precision 22mag but that’s a bolt gun.

Do you know where the targets are available at.

No, I just ran across this youtube, and it's really a response to someone else's video.

          50 yards, too. Yikes.

You can do bolt gun too I guess. The "official" challenge is 10/22, because they don't expect many, if any, clean runs. Looks like Lapua Long Range is the most popular ammo.

Don’t have any match grade 22 ammo, the best I shoot is mini-mag.

Thanks for the targets I’ll print some up, but with my not very tricked out 22’s and bulk ammo certainly not expecting very good results. Shooter probably won’t help either ha ha.

My only .22 rifle is a 10/22 takedown, lol.

My only accurate rimfire is a .22 Magnum with a 10 pound trigger that I bought in the 70's. It has a $10 scope that the plastic ocular got tweaked on that I had to wrestle back in place. If it had any nitrogen before, it's all gone. At 33 yards I could hit anything I could see at 4x, but that was over 40 years ago.

When I was a high school kid I bought an old Mossberg 22 mag bolt gun with a 22” barrel of another kid for $40 I think. Had that gun forever till my father in law asked if he could have a 22 for varmint control on his property. It only had iron sights but man no ground squirrel was safe at 50-100 yards. I missed not having a 22 mag the reason I bought the RPR in 22mag, those old 22’s were great shooters.

The worst thing about them now is the ammo is as expensive as .223!

That stupid challenge got me thinking though. I have a crappy 1 inch 4.5-18x that I never mounted and I can find some rings at walmart. I used to shoot that Marlin/Glenfield thing at 33 yards, 50 isn't THAT much more. I'm not doing it for at least a couple more months though, maybe October, when it cools off a little.

By then I'll probably have lost interest. That's a win-win

Shot it this morning with my Ruger Precision 22 mag, only got 9 good hits with lots of legs and wings. Shot it using my portable bench and a front bag, I’ll need a bigger bench and a better rifle rest to do a lot better. It’s challenging for sure, nice 25 round drill.

Did the wind bother you much, or was it early in the morning?

I had my best results way back when, using jacketed bullets. What load were you shooting?

I always go early, was slinging lead by 0630 no wind a little overcast pretty nice really. I was using the CCI maxi-mag 40gr HP rounds.

Oof, that means you got up BEFORE 6:30.

That's the same ammo I used to use. But it was $3 a box then.
