      Marlin 60 would be great.. But I did buy a Savage MKII recently..I am pretty impressed with it for a new Rifle.. I hated the plastic stock though.. I think it would suffice fine for most though..I just despise plastic alot..

        You’re thinking backward here folks. The gun is irrelevant if the caliber selected can’t shoot lead free worth crap. .22lr lead free groups like a shotgun while .17hmr is a laser.

        Whatever you do buy a .17hmr or stick with .22 lead pellets.

          I prefer the 17hmr over the 22lr because where I shoot has a fair amount of rocks and the 22lr likes to ricochet off the rock in various directions. The 17hrm tends to embed themselves into the rocks.
