    Recommedation 10/22 scope

Looking for a recommendation for a scope for my 10/22.

Rifle was handed down from my father but was equipped with a really bad Sears scope.

I'd rather not pay over $100-120, but do want a quality piece. It's going to be used mainly for paper punching and the sort.

I just bought a scope from the Cabelas for about $40 and it is working well. It surprised me.

This may sound funny and total overkill but I put a cheep Barska 6-20x50 varmint on my 10/22 and have had a blast with the thing. I do a lot of spotting for everyone else around me when they know that I can see just like I was standing next to a 300yard target. Like I said it may be overkill but for the, I think less than fifty bucks shipped I sure have fun and aint that what shooting is all about

I have a bushnell banner 3x9 on mine. For around 60 bucks its a nice scope for a 22. The optics are clear and it has never lost a zero since I got it 2 years ago.

Mueller APV is always a popular rimfire choice. A 4.5 to 14 costs about $125.00.

Simmons 22 Mag scope. Totally adequate for a 10/22 and within your budget.
I have one on mine and it works very well as a general purpose scope.

+1 for the Mueller APV. A buddy of mine mounted the Simmons Whitetail scope on sale at Midway which surprising is a nice scope for the price, the only downside is the mildots are a little big for use with .22. I'm using a Bushnell 3200 10x on mine which will work just fine till I mount a variable powered scope on it.

I'm kinda leaning towards the Busnhell .22 Rimfire 3-9x32

Seems like its got great reviews, both on here and OpticsPlanet. My last question is, will these rings suffice, or should I look in to another set? If another set, what would pair up with this scope nicely?

FWIW, for aesthetic reasons, the 10/22 in question has a polished receiver and trigger/guard, blued barrel and bolt handle, and a natural wood grain stock (non-laminated). Although it's a polished receiver, I'm still leaning toward the black matte finish on the scope to somewhat match the blued barrel and various pieces of hardware. Hopefully it doesn't look off. I'm cautious on getting the silver finished scope, as it probably won't exactly match the polished receiver's finish.

Better yet. Let me snap a picture of the rifle in question.

                        Thanks all for your help!

This scope is great. I shoot my 10-22 with this scope at 100 yards. It is very good and didn't cost more than $50-60. It even came with the scope rings already which fit on the rail with my 10-22.

                            Hey chongo,

Did your 10/22 come like that from the factory or did someone polish off the finish from the receiver, trigger guard and barrel band? I have the same finished 10/22 except for the trigger guard. The person I bought it from claims it came that way from the factory.
