Just brought home the Rossi Rio Bravo and Rossi Gallery. Haven't tried the Rio Bravo yet, but not liking the Gallery so far. The pump action is stiff, maybe after a few hundred more shots down range the Gallery will loosen up and become smoother. These will go nicely with the 10/22, Henry Golden Boy, and Model 60. Can't have enough 22s.

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I just picked up a new to me Winchester 62a. It?s an early model, serial puts it 1941, so fairly soon after they made the switch to the ?a? designation. I believe the Rossi gallery gun is patterned after it. I haven?t had a chance to shoot it yet, but the action is crazy smooth and the trigger is a delight. Because I was willing to accept a less than cosmetically perfect rifle I paid not really any more than a new gallery gun too. I?d have preferred a 1906, but did not find any that were reasonably priced.
Proof will be in the shooting of course, but for 22s I?ve yet to go wrong with a classic firearm over new production. Prices are generally good, and the quality of workmanship on all has been excellent.Comment

Nothing wrong with a 62..Might even be a little better than the 06..And yes I prefer originals over someone elses copy too..Especially if the pricing is comparable.
I would think the Rossi will work in with some use..Have fun with it..I have more .22s than anything..Can no longer even afford to shoot my centerfires much right now..Even reloading has become rediculous..You used to be able to reload cheaper than buying..Not hardly the case anymore..Both are kinda cost prohibitive right now..Hopefully that will correct itself sooner than later..Comment

I have an old Rossi pump (decades old). The action isn't as smooth as a Winchester or Remington.Comment
