Buckmark issue

Just picked up an older Buckmark and it's not real easy to rack the slide any suggestions?

Sounds like it sat for along time with no care, like stated tear it down and do a good cleaning and apply lube.

The slide grip ain't the best on Buckmarks. I recall some aftermarket "ears/knobs" that can be installed.

Is it with hammer up or down?
It is a bit harder to rack the slide when the hammer not cocked.
Agree with above to strip it and clean/lube. Will also give you a chance to inspect the spring and firing pin assembly to see if anything is bent or broken.

Check the recoil spring when you are cleaning it. Make sure it isn't badly bent.
