Nice rescue, they are surprisingly pleasant and accurate. Don't forget to buy .22 Short ammo whenever it crosses your path since it's not an everyday thing.

Yes Shorts are a little hard to come by these days..I have two other Pistols that shoot them..A 1950 Beretta 949 Target Olimpionoco Pistol..And a little H&R Revolver..

I have found that Aguila .22 shorts work well in my Minx but CCI shorts don’t reliably cycle. Might be an individual thing. CCI shorts work OK in my Astra

          This thread reminds me,

I have a 950 BS in .25 auto that needs a recoil spring. I haven't looked for one in a while. I somehow bent the tip of the spring putting the slide back on one time and it threw the whole spring out of whack so now it breaks the grips when it's fired.

ETA: OP, if you haven't shot one yet be aware that it has a nasty slide bite of you let the web of your hand get above the beaver tail.

Interesting little pistol. I've had mine since 1990, but only shot it a couple of times. Still in the original box.

              Being Beretta, they're well made.

How hard was it to replace the barrel?

Just hammer out the cross pin? I've never had one of these apart.

Not real hard but care has to be taken..I have heard of some breaking the ear off the frame using a hammer and punch..I used a press to do it properly..That is the ideal way..Drove it out left to right,Installed the opposite..Putting it back in is almost harder..It takes near 3 hands to that part as you have to pull the trigger guard rearward to line stuff up..The trigger guard is the tip up barrel spring..
