I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a legitimate shop that carries parts for a glenfield (marlin) model 20. particularly magazines and bolt parts. thanks in advance.

Try Marlin directly. I've found that they are less expensive, including shipping.
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.
