Save people some time. New title should be "Didn't shoot a coke can at 710 yards."

That dude who does the Sniper101 youtube channel hit a can of soda from a long distance. I want to say it was 1100 yards.

Sorry. I was wrong. It was 1,130 yards and it was a Coors Light.

Hit it once out of 525 round box of Winchester Wildcats? What if he was lucky that day and hit it, he’ll be a hero for sure. Even those impossible shot videos don’t make happen right away.

710 yards with a 22LR... must've shot with George Santos.

Shooting a 22LR at 300 yards is like shooting 6.5CM at 1,275 yards. So 710 yards must be like a couple miles.
Too many rifles, not enough time...

If you shoot enough rounds you're bound to hit it eventually. Nice stunt, but no practical purpose.

They should have flown to the place where he did the shooting as a kid. I wouldn’t be surprised there were some landmarks that made the drop and windeage easier to account for. It’s not like he claims that he could hit at that distance anywhere, just in that specific location.

If you think about how long it would take to walk back and forth every time you knocked down some cans, to set them up again, you start to picture it:

A few bored kids out at grandma’s house for the summer with nothing to do all day, loaded with cheap ammo, Native American eyesight…I could see them hitting a can 1/7 shots after a few days. The target and environment are a constant, a rusty tractor is visible and makes the red can a contrast…I tend to believe it.

They really did set him up for failure by bringing him out to a windy desert. Can you imagine the butt hurt and spinning flat bills if this guy showed up and defeated their expensive rigs and math?

The 10/22 is just not that accurate

KIDD makes it much better, but a standard 10/22 is not an moa gun

Now he shot with the cheapest bricks of ammo he could purchase

Blazer 22 works but it's also not match / not moa ammo.

                          1 moa is 7 inches at 700

                          A 10/22 with blazer is 2moa at best or a 14" at 700

The man's optics would not have enough internal adjustment for the drop at 700

Spin drift with .308 with ball Ammo at 700 is crazy

They could have pulled up the guys property on Google maps to figure out how far the shots might have been....

140 MOA drop at 700 yard - over 1000 inches of drop

                            .143 BC
                            40 grain
                            1300 fps muzzle

                            Under 600 fps at 700

                              Last nerd fact
Blazer can have 100+ fps difference at the 10 foot chrono readings

That equates to more than 8 moa at 700

That is a 56" drop variation at 700 yards with blazer ammo

An extra 56" of movement of impact just from the difference of 100 fps near the muzzle.

Now how tall is a coke can???
