That came out looking good. I have a Mk III 22-45 with a fair amount of work but stock barrel that is a good shooter. I also have this Buck Mark bought new in 1985 and fiddled with some over the years wearing a Tac Sol barrel.

I have done a couple barrel swaps on Ruger MK series 22's.
They were never designed to have barrels swapped so the threads are not timed like some other guns which were designed to have a barrel swapped and keep the alignment.
Because the threads are all different, a replacement barrel will almost never fit correctly without machining.
The machining is pretty simple though, basically re-timing the barrel alignment by cutting back the barrel's shoulder.

      Most work performed while-you-wait.

Congratulations on that barrel swap! Like what Randall said, they are a PITA.
Without access to a machine shop (lathe), tough to re-align things back. Once was enough for me.
