I was reading a thread on the rimfire central forum and one gentleman had
modified his marlin 795 with these three easy mods for no $$$. I have done one and two but can't figure out number 3.
1) Free float the barrel- sandpaper the inside of the synthetic stock so you can fit a piece of paper between the stock and barrel
2) Add aluminum strips of tape to keep the receiver/action firm in the stock
3) replace the trigger spring with one from a ballpoint pen to lighten the trigger pull.
I can't figure out #3 unless the trigger spring is hidden in the trigger guard.
Again I love my 795 but if I can make it more accurate for no $$$ why not.
here's the rimfire thread
Post #10 is where the mods are explained...
