I've searched, but either I'm typing in the wrong words to use or the search pulls up anything that has the word magazine in it.
Anyway, I want to be sure there's no issues or gray areas before I attempt to do something. Basically I want to take two stock 10/22 mags, sand down the bottoms flat, and stick them together.
1) It saves me the hassle of having to pry out a little mag with man size fingers.
2) It is convenient and doubles to keep two mags close by and quickly replaceable.
3) By making it a permanent modification, it lessens the chance of a weak point failing when it gets bumped.
Now if I do this, can an enterprising and fork tongued gun hating prosecutor argue that I have manufactured ONE magazine that has a capacity over 10 in CA? Or, will it still be a 10 round mag because of the plastic that still separates them both? I don't think it would raise eyebrows where I am, but all it takes is that one curious and uninformed watcher with a cell phone to make things go south. I'm just trying to get ahead of the drama.
